Indonesia stocks lower at close of trade; IDX Composite Index down 0.98%

Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.98% to hit a new 3-months low.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Dua Putra Utama Makmur PT (JK:DPUM), which rose 34.62% or 18.00 points to trade at 70.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Natura City Developments Tbk PT (JK:CITY) added 32.77% or 39.00 points to end at 158.00 and Perma Plasindo Tbk PT (JK:BINO) was up 27.47% or 50.00 points to 232.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Satu Visi Putra PT Tbk (JK:VISI), which fell 24.84% or 78.00 points to trade at 236.00 at the close. Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ADRO) declined 23.55% or 650.00 points to end at 2,110.00 and Pt Topindo Solusi Komunika (JK:TOSK) was down 19.81% or 21.00 points to 85.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 426 to 184 and 227 ended unchanged.

Shares in Dua Putra Utama Makmur PT (JK:DPUM) rose to 3-years highs; rising 34.62% or 18.00 to 70.00. Shares in Natura City Developments Tbk PT (JK:CITY) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 32.77% or 39.00 to 158.00. Shares in Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ADRO) fell to 52-week lows; down 23.55% or 650.00 to 2,110.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.07% or 0.05 to $68.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $72.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.79 to trade at $2,681.59 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was down 0.09% to 15,850.00, while AUD/IDR rose 0.22% to 10,324.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 105.89.
